Swimming Pool Matting
Anti-microbial duckboard matting for swimming pool surrounds, changing rooms and shower areas. Provide a safe and hygienic environment that reduces the risk of slips and keep bacteria at bay, which is of particular importance in barefoot areas. We are not usually aware of it, but our feet are breeding ground for a wide range of bacteria which will find a nice home for themselves in any nooks and recesses where they are allowed to take hold. This can lead to unpleasant smells and the flourishing of moulds and mildews which pose a risk to health.
Our range of swimming pool matting is available in a wide selection of sizes, colours and patterns to suit your tastes and achieve the desired look for your pool area. All products in this range are designed with rounded profiles for enhanced barefoot comfort.
Available in roll format for convenience, or in tile format for a more versatile and adaptable system. Rolls can be connected together at right angles or end-to-end using connector clips available to purchase separately. These can be found under the 'Accessories' tab on the product page.
All products in our Swimming Pool Matting range are UV resistant and can be used indoors or outdoors all year round.
FAQs
What is the best way to cut matting to size?
The rolls can be cut to length using a hand saw or a jigsaw. When using a jigsaw it is advisable to lubricate the blade with fairy liquid to reduce overheating. Floorline and Heronrib can be easily cut with a pair of secateurs. The Ultima product is made up of 10cm long interlocking sections which can be pulled apart to form the desired lengths.
What level of maintenance does swimming pool matting require?
The frequency of cleaning required will depend on the amount of foot traffic. Weekly cleaning is recommended in areas with regular footfall. Matting should be lifted and the area underneath swept free of trapped debris and mopped. This will help to ensure good traction between the matting and the surface underneath.
Should swimming pool matting be rolled up and stored indoors over winter?
If the outdoor swimming pool will not be used for a significant amount of time, it is recommended to store the matting indoors to extend its lifespan. Exposure to extreme temperature changes, harsh cleaning chemicals and constant UV exposure will accelerate the breakdown of most materials including plastics.
