I am a little bit confused with joining "two lengths of matting side by side", aren't these matting to be interconnected side by side at the pool anyway? Not quite sure at what situation will the connectors be necessary.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. The clips allow you to connect rolls together width-ways, ie parallel to each other, to create wider walkways. The matting has built-in connectors which allow you to connect them 'end-to-end' to form walkways of the desired length without the need for connectors. I hope this helps. I am about to order the standard size matting of 60cm x 5m - can you please confirm that I need 20 connectors?

Hi there, connectors are only needed when joining two lengths of matting side by side, or at right angles. 20 connectors is needed to join two lengths of 60cm x 5m side by side.
